Homemade Remedies for Hair loss!

Hair loss may be caused due to a variety of reasons, for example, tension, malnutrition, illness etc. Homemade remedies can treat hair loss. Hair loss, also known as baldness refers to excessive hair loss from scalp and can be the result of heredity, certain medications or an underlying medical condition. It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some. However, some people may experience excessive hair loss which might cause baldness. To a woman, the sight of a comb or brush covered with lost hair can cause intense mental strain.

Hair is formed in minute pockets in the skill called follicles. An up growth at the base of the follicle, called the papilla, actually produces hair when a special group of cells turn amino acids into keratin, a type of protein of which hair is made. The rate of production of these protein 'building blocks' determines hair growth. The average growth rate is about 1.2 cm per month, growing fastest on women between fifteen to thirty years of age.
n general, hair loss is a condition that reflects the level of health of the person, although not a dangerous disease, millions of people are desperately seeking a cure for hair loss, our society drives us to look healthy and young, hair loss damages or looks and our self esteem, making us less sure of ourselves.

In some men, the new hair is thinner then the one before, when this one fall the next one is even thinner, until eventually the follicle stops producing hair. Childbirth can cause hair loss. Other reasons for hair loss in men and women are; stress, infection, surgery, high fever, diets, over brushing, syphilis, and tumors. There are some drugs that claim to Regrowth hair, but they only achieve mild results and are full of side effects, for example minoxidil (Rogaine) should not be taken by people with high blood pressure, and it may cause acne on the forehead and back. Another is finasteride (Propecia) it can be taken orally (men only) and causes problems, rash and if handled by a pregnant woman it can cause birth defects in the genital area of the fetus.
